2008 - President George W. Bush recognized Operation Troop Appreciation in a speech he gave at the White House on September 8, 2008.  As part of his Volunteer Recognition Program, the President praised the tireless efforts of volunteers all over the country, while bringing special attention to the work performed by OTA.  Kristen Holloway, President of OTA was greeted by President Bush as she arrived at the White House.

2007 - Monica Orluk, OTA VP was named a Community Champion by The Pittsburgh Post Gazette, The Pittsburgh Foundation and the Heinz Endowment as part of the Jefferson Awards volunteer recognition program.

 

2006 - Kristen Holloway, OTA President & Founder is granted the Presidential Volunteer Service Award.  Kristen was greeted by President Bush as he arrived via Air Force One.

 

2005- Kristen Holloway, OTA President & Founder receives the "Mothers & Shakers" award from Redbook Magazine.  Below, Kristen is pictured with her mother, Carol Holloway immediately after receiving this award.
